A Cat Person
During the time he wasn’t in the studio or performing, Freddie was home with his ten(!) cats. He absolutely loved cats, treating his like his children. He had two cats with Mary Austin when they were together, named Tom and Jerry. Since then he adopted more, his favorite being Delilah. He even wrote a song about her that was named, of course, ‘Delilah’.

While the band was facing major success in South America and in the US, they had a couple of records that didn’t sell as well as their previous albums. Queen soon found themselves in somewhat of a rut. As a result, they took a temporary break. Each member took on personal projects to refresh themselves before the band would reunite and begin working again. Once they got back together, they created the songs ‘I Want to Break Free’ and ‘Radio Gaga’, among others. However, just as they were coming out of their rut, they ran into yet another obstacle.
