There was finally a breakthrough of sorts by the time May 2015 rolled in. A new witness stepped forward. Jurrien de Jong claimed that he witnessed Joran carrying the lifeless body of Natalee into the construction site of the Marriott Hotel’s Spyglass Tower. In his testimony, he said Joran no longer carried the body when he exited the area. When asked why he did not come forward sooner, Jurrien revealed that he had been residing illegally in Aruba. However, it was also a dead end since there were no records that there was construction activity in the area at the time.

Anniversary Madness
Beth Holloway told TODAY, “Actually, there is no truth to that story. Every time there’s an anniversary, whether it’s the five-year mark, and now it’s the 10-year mark, there’s always, I hate to say it, just like some crazies that just come out and they have so placed themselves in Natalee’s story. It’s empty. There is nothing to that story.”
