Under the request of the United States Justice Department, the authorities conducted a raid on two different houses in the Netherlands on June 4. One of these homes belonged to Jaap Amesz, a reporter who previously talked to van der Sloot and reportedly said he knew of his criminal activities.

Possible New Clues
The Aruban investigators used some of the information gathered during the extortion case in order to launch a search at the beach. Sadly, they still did not find any new evidence. Dave Holloway came back to Aruba on June 14 in an attempt to look for new clues to his daughter’s whereabouts.
