Dr. Phil showed a hidden camera interview they conducted with Deepak Kalpoe. The footage showed the young man saying, “She did. You’d be surprised how easy it was.” This was in reference to the idea that Natalee Holloway had sexual intercourse with all three of them. The video was taken by the private investigator Dr. Phil hired, Jamie Skeeters. When it went on air, news reports implied the possibility of a rearrest.

After the police took the hidden camera footage into their hands, they claimed the video had been manipulated in some way. According to an Aruban source, the Kalpoe brother actually denied the suggestion and shook his head in response to the question. A year after that, the Kalpoe brothers filed a libel and slander suit against the celebrity and the private eye, though it was dismissed the following year.
