The bond Emma and Plucas shared was one that not many others understood. Every time Emma returned to visit, the two would swim and play together. Plucas made sure he was always prepared with some snacks for Emma. These two became best friends, and nothing would ever change that.

Even Plucas’ own family and friends did not understand or fully appreciate this unique bond he had with Emma, but it didn’t matter to him. He told The Dodo, “To me, she is gentle and loving. She is very careful when we are playing, so she would not hurt me.”
