The fishermen struggled to pull the heavy cub into the boat. Bear in mind that a grown bear can weigh up to 1,300 pounds! Even though these cubs were practically babies, they were extremely heavy. In addition, their fur was soaked, and this added to their weight. The men began to fear that they could not pull the cubs on board. Nonetheless, they kept trying.
