Another Tug
Just as the operation appeared impossible, the fishermen found renewed strength and pulled much harder. They were able to make progress and the first bear cub was getting nearer and nearer to the boat’s platform. The fact that one bear was almost there filled the men with excitement. They just needed to take another big tug and the operation would be successful.

Their effort finally paid off and one bear cub was on board! However, they did not have time to celebrate since they had another task to accomplish. All the same, they were confident that they could rescue the other cub, whowas further away and more tired because of a longer exposure to the cold water.
