While Brooks was busy producing Blazing Saddles, another reason why he was so intent on making the movie a success was because his wife was pregnant. Well while the filming was underway, his wife actually gave birth to his son, which they called Max. Now Max is grown up himself and clearly inherited some of his fathers’ talented writing genes. He later became a successful author of the best-selling novel, World War Z.
