Gobekli Tepe

In Turkey, the archaeological site of Gobekli Tepe can be found. This site, which dates back about 11,500 years, is often referred to as the first temple in the world. The “temple” has more than 200 pillars and each weighs around 20 tons and they once reached up to 20 feet.

African Spearheads

During an intensive archaeological expedition in South Africa in 2012, weapons that resembled spears were found. The date experts believe these spears come from, could be as far back as 500,000 years ago. Before this discovery, the oldest spear discovery was around 300,000 years ago and the spears were probably created by Homo Heidelbergensis.
