A Confession
Suddenly came a scandalizing confession. A name by the name of Shawn Eckardt went to the FBI and confessed to being an accomplice to the assault. Perhaps even more shocking, he outed Jeff Gillooly, Harding’s ex-husband, as the mastermind behind the attack! Harding would not admit to being aware of the plot. The US Olympic Committee tried to oust her from the team, but Harding’s lawyers filed a 25 million dollar suit against them.

The Finals
After all the drama, Kerrigan recovered and was able to compete in the Olympics after all. Talk about a tense environment as the two faced off against each other. Just before heading into the finals, Kerrigan was first, while Harding lagged behind in tenth place. Though Kerrigan barely missed winning gold, she ended up with silver. Harding did not place and went home empty handed, which is still better than going to jail, which is what her ex-husband and his accomplice did.
