When they returned to the states, there was a goal that he wanted to achieve. He decided to go to the Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi to get his Master of Divinity! Even as he worked towards the degree, the couple had been thinking about Honduras. They also wanted something else.
The Community
At the time, Rachel was helping the community by teaching at a local school. Meanwhile, Aaron was serving as a youth director and intern at the Yazoo City Second Presbyterian. They talked about adoption more seriously. “We see the protection of children not as charity, nor as part of a political agenda, but as something near to the heart of God,” Aaron said.
