Siberian Husky

The Siberian Husky and the Alaskan Husky are quite similar. You can see how smart they are by how they mingle with other dogs. Because of cross-breeding, some breeds of this variety have the same genetics as the Taymyr wolf of North Asia, which are now extinct. Siberian Huskies are very independent which means that they are not really protective and that they do not make good guard dogs. They also like to be alone most of the time, which means that they would rather be alone outside on the snow or on the ground than sit on the couch with you.

Alaskan Malamute

Another breed which meant for cooler climates is the Alaskan Malamute. But instead of pulling sleds, they are more suitable as family pets with their big fluffy build. These dogs also love children, making them perfect as family dogs. Aside from that, these dogs are quite loyal and smart. The Alaskan Husky, the Siberian Husky, and the Alaskan Malamute have similar genetic makeup. That’s why they also look very similar to each other.
