Pluto used to be a planet before it was downgraded to the status of a dwarf planet. Most people don’t really see understand the reason for the sudden downgrade. It actually has something to do with its total land mass. Pluto is approximately 16,647,940 square kilometers, whereas Russia has an area of 17,098,322 square kilometers!
