McDonald’s might be an American establishment, though it did not stop 5,000 Russians from lining up to get a taste of the most popular fast food. We are talking about the Big Mac, of course! The first McDonalds chain opened in Moscow and thousands of people were waiting for its grand opening. Aside from the 5,000 who got to enjoy their Big Mac, there were also 30,000 people who opted to go with the Happy Meals instead. Some people even went 6 hours earlier before the opening in order to line up for their first McDonalds meal.

From the story “Winnie the Pooh”, bears like to sniff beehives and consume honey when they get lucky enough to get their hands on one. However, that is not the reality in Russia. Bears in the country have become addicted to the scent of kerosene and jet fuel! Whether it’s sitting in containers or dumped unceremoniously in a forest area, bears will look for these and often end up sniffing them until they pass out in ecstasy.
