After six years of being engaged, Freddie had stopped mentioning marriage and began to pull away from Mary, the one who inspired the song ‘Love of My Life’. Mary saw that something was troubling Freddie about their relationship, and so she broke it off, thinking he may be having an affair with another woman. However, as it turns out, Freddie cared so much about Mary and respected her, so he confided in her and came out to her as a bisexual.
