The Discovery
John was under the impression that it was an entrance of some sort. It had the shape of a hatch, so he cleared the area around it and pried open the lid. He tried not to inhale a lot because he knew it was possible for there to be mold or even toxic gas fumes down there. He looked at the object and could not help but feel amazed by what he discovered.

He found the lid only three feet below the ground. Beneath it, he found what looked like a bunch of sharp blades! After taking a closer look at it, he realized that he was actually looking at a spiral staircase that led further underground. Even though there were probably people who would dive into this spot, but he still hesitated. There was a good reason for what he was feeling.
