The Characters definitely had the makings of a success when it decided to make use of an unorthodox writers’ room system. It allowed a different stand-up comedian to pen and star in every episode! Unfortunately, it failed to do well in the ratings and this subsequently led to its cancellation. Luckily, Netflix does not have a shortage of hysterical stand-up shows so we’re sure you will still be able to scratch your stand-up itch!

Atelier
It’s true that Atelier was a rather niche show. If you haven’t heard of it, the program was centered on a young woman trying to make it big in the Japanese fashion world. Sadly, it did not make it past the first season, something that Screenrant attributes to poor marketing tactics.
