Erin O’Connor was another recipient of the award. She saw a fight go down in the parking lot and witnessed an attacker inflict a severe wound on another man! She chased off this attacker and then helped the poor man as they waited for the ambulance.

Paris Hazelwanter was recognized at the Chief’s Awards gala as well. She saw a drive-by shooting unfold and was immediately concerned about the woman inside the car who was hit by the shots. She went to the car, dodging even more bullets as she did so, and asked bystanders to help. They worked together to get the victim out of the car! She also kept the injuries at bay while they waited for emergency services.
