It is no wonder that the media attention and exposure overwhelmed Nadya. As much as she wanted to control the narrative in the media, it was simply too difficult. The moment she realized she failed in this aspect, she chose to up the ante by opening up about the struggles she was facing. She discussed the caricatures people made about her during an interview with People. Nadya explained, “I don’t get much sleep, about two or three hours a night. But I’m continuing to move forward with my life and trying to be the best mother I can be.” Despite this, people were still skeptical about her because of the attitude she displayed regarding all the attention.

Even years after Octomom delivered her last set of kids, people still expressed doubt about her motivations. Despite the critics and skeptical comments, many Americans adored and supported the family. Unfortunately, Nadya was having trouble raising her kids. Multiple sources have reported that Nadya was in a grim situation, that she was in a low point at the moment. To no one’s surprise, Octomom was having a hard time raising all 14 of her kids. Since it was difficult to support each one of them, she needed to accept government assistance. It must have been hard for her. Even though she had all the babies she used to dream of, she could not help but feel alone. Not long after this, she received another challenge that could not be solved by welfare.
