Gabriel said that van der Sloot attempted to kiss Natalee after putting a date rape drug called GHB in her drink. He reportedly began panicking when Natalee started foaming at the mouth. Ultimately, Natalee choked on her vomit and van der Sloot placed her body in a burlap sack. Apparently, he buried her corpse in a park and used a cactus plant to hide the evidence.

According to Dave Holloway, the fact that van der Sloot disclosed these pieces of information to a friend in private meant it was legitimate. “They lived together for several months and during those months, Joran shared a lot of information with him that is not public knowledge. And that’s one of the reasons we pursued this,” he explained.
