Forever Grateful
Robert expressed his thanks to the bear in an interview with The Huffington Post. “I’m 100-percent sure it did want to save my life. We made eye contact. I’d seen the bears before and I know she knew who I was.”

Lack Of Evidence
Robert’s story is certainly captivating and a little hard to believe. However, after giving out his testimony, the California Department of Fish and Game said that they did not believe his story. According to spokesman Andrew Hughan, the evidence he presented was unconvincing. The DNA test results determined that the blood on Robert’s backpack had zero signs of an animal attack and other tests would agree with this assessment. “All of the evidence – the lab results, an investigation at the scene, and the scratches on Mr. Bigg’s arm— is inconsistent with a mountain lion attack,” said Kirsten Macintyre from the DFG. True or fabricated…it’s one heck of a story!
