There are times when you douse a fire only for it to spread even further. She worked on preventing her name from making rounds for the wrong reasons, but it all backfired on her. The athlete arranged an interview with a big media outlet in the hopes that it would help shift the situation. It gave her the chance to talk about pole vaulting and nothing else. She gave other women in their field tips, but this did not do much about the problem. Many YouTube users just talked about her physique and beauty!

It was hard for her to get a handle on the situation on her own. Luckily, her dad was a lawyer who wanted to keep danger and strangers away from her. Stokke did not like the unwanted attention, so he took it upon himself to go on YouTube and mark those who left worrying comments on the videos of her. He wanted to see if they said anything illegal. Sadly, this did not really help curb the actual problem.
