Johal told Noah that he didn’t have to sacrifice his things for someone he didn’t even know, but the homeless guy gave a response, which melted the young man’s heart, “I’ll get by without it.” Noah reassured Johal, “I’ll be okay.” The young man was speechless for a moment. Then, shaking his head, he continued to convince Noah to take the $100 back. Johal insisted that Noah needed it for necessities like food, but the homeless man smiled at him warmly and said, “I’ll get something… Something will come up.”

Johal asked Noah when the older man last ate something. “Yesterday,” Noah replied. The young man felt tears welling up because he realized that Noah didn’t even get himself something to eat for the day. “Where do you sleep at night?” the young man asked weakly, preventing himself from crying. Johal wasn’t actually the man Noah thought he was, but Johal decided to keep that piece of information.
