Kirkland Signature 5-Pocket Jeans

In 2016, Costco completely wiped out its Kirkland Signature 5-Pocket Jeans for men, only to bring them back in 2017 with “design improvements.” On the other hand, the changes were met with dissatisfaction by fans of the original “dad jeans.” A consumer on Reddit stated the new edition was a poor replacement due to its thin material and dissimilar fit and design. Costco appears to have stopped production of these jeans completely, according to dozens of dissatisfied Facebook commenters (possibly replacing the Kirkland Signature brand with Urban Star).

Cuddle With Me Dolls

Costco stopped selling a Cuddle With Me doll in 2009 after customers found it racist and offensive. Each doll was present in three ethnicities: Caucasian, African American, and Hispanic, and appeared with a plush panda or monkey. The African American doll was matched with a monkey and a banana and donned a headband labeled “lil’ monkey,” according to a Costco member in North Carolina. All sets involving the plush monkey were instantly removed from Costco’s shelves. Nevertheless, Costco looks to have carried out the collection, even though the other editions were available for a while.
