All American Chocolate Cake

Customers were left perplexed and concerned when Costco abruptly discontinued this magnificent mountain of rich, chocolatey perfection without explanation. Chocolate shavings and a thick layer of frosting adorned the four-layer chocolate cake. No one ever knows why Costco stopped making it; all we know is that it disappeared in 2019 and has since become a legend. A petition on Change.org was started in response to the loss, and it received over 3,000 signatures.

Hand-Dipped Ice Cream Bars

Costco discontinued this delicious dessert in 2013, but loyal customers remember it fondly. A vanilla ice cream bar chocolate covered and encrusted with toasted almonds cost $1.50 in the food court. Some theorize that Costco removed the treat from its menu due to rising almond and dairy prices, even though the retailer has been identified to sell roast chickens at a loss. Kirkland Signature vanilla almond ice cream bars were also available in the frozen section, but fans of the food court edition say they can not compare.
