Polish Dogs

For all of us, it was a rude awakening. In 2018, Costco discontinued its Polish dogs to make space for healthier food court selections. Customers were enraged by the decision, and they used the hashtag #SaveThePolishDog to protest on Twitter. Sadly, their efforts failed, and Polish dogs are no longer on the list. Don’t be concerned, friends. The regular, all-beef frankfurter is still available, as is Costco’s $1.50 hot dog and soda combo.

Kirkland Signature Light Beer

Kirkland Signature Light Beer was discontinued by Costco in 2018, for better or worse. The 48-packs of can cost $22, or less than 50 cents per can. Although the beer had a cult following by many frugal clubbers, it wasn’t without critics. One RateBeer critic matched the brew’s aroma to a “urine-soaked diaper sitting on a piping-hot radiator.” So it’s no surprise that Costco didn’t keep it after receiving such negative feedback. Although the light beers have been discontinued, a $20 craft-brewed variety pack featuring pale, blonde, brown, and India pale ales could still be available.
