A Change.org petition with over 85,000 signatures may have caused Costco to pull this Monsanto-owned weed-killer from store shelves. After billion-dollar lawsuits stated the herbicide caused cancer, Zen Honeycutt, the founder of Moms Across America, filed a campaign requesting the retailer to stop selling Roundup. Honeycutt confirmed on her website after talking with three people from Costco’s head office that Roundup would no longer be sold in American warehouses. In addition, the substance has been banned or restricted in several cities across the United States.

Although this food court fave was only available at a few Costco locations, fans were upset when the seller swept grease aside and make room for healthier meals. The beef was tender and juicy, drenched with sweet BBQ sauce, and served with creamy coleslaw. However, at $4.99, it was unlikely to draw the same interest as the menu’s lower-cost options. The BBQ beef brisket sandwich was reported to have been discontinued by “at least some” warehouses in 2018, but Kitchn proposed in 2019 that it might resurface as a seasonal product on occasion.
