Diana Ross & the Supremes with the Temptations – TCB (1969)

This mostly unknown album features some of the most iconic Motown acts ever! “TCB” actually started as a television special. It was, in fact, the first musical TV special to air on American Broadcast television! It was also one of the most highly rated variety shows of 1968. The album reached #1 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart and was the third #2 album for Diana Ross and The Supremes.

Thelonious Monk with John Coltrane – Thelonious Monk with John Coltrane (1961)

This is an amazing jazz album and if you haven’t heard about it you should change that! It features material recorded four years earlier when Monk worked with John Coltrane as a solo artist. It was the debut album of Thelonious Monk who is an extremely talented pianist. The album was reissued in 2000 and is now considered a historically significant album. It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2007.
