Ivo Karlovic (6’11”)

Apparently, Croatian Ivo Karlovic is the tallest tennis player in the whole world, with a height of 6’11” and weight of 229 pounds. His talent actually matches his stature, having won eight ATP singles from 2007 to 2016. He also used to be a World Record holder for the fastest serve (156 miles per hour) until 2012, when Samuel Groth earned the title. In addition, we’re quite impressed by how he balances a successful career and being involved and devoted in his family life as he is now married with children. He enjoys showing off his family on social media, as well as his sense of humor, and we love the fact that we get to know this sports star on a slightly more personal level since it reminds us he is human too!

Sharran Alexander (6’)

We know that 6 feet doesn’t seem like much and you probably know people who are 6 feet tall, but this person isn’t on this list because of their height but it’s more of how massive they are. Sharran Alexander weighs a massive 448 pounds and she’s a woman – known for being the heaviest sportswoman in the world, as a matter of fact, with recognition from both the British Sumo Federation and the Guinness World Records (in 2013). She actually started late in the game and entered the sport of sumo wrestling when she was 41 years old after seeing a TV commercial for women sumo wrestlers! Alexander is now in 2nd Kyu (Grade), which is an impressive standing, and is still doing professional wrestling.
