The staff knew that Walter Swords was a short-tempered and rude man. On top of that, he was cranky, demanding, and impatient! If you have ever worked in customer service, you would know how much of a nightmare this was. She was shocked when he told her that his meal should be piping hot. He went on to say that he did not care if it was hot enough to burn his tongue -that was how he liked it!

She Made An Effort
This was the beginning of her rocky relationship with the cranky customer. Can you imagine having to deal with that every single day for seven years? Even though he was temperamental, she did her job to the best of her abilities. His behavior had been so bad that he would curse at her when he was in a foul mood. Despite this, she did not let it get her down. She was always ready to greet him with a smile and ask him, “How you doin’ today?” We are glad that her efforts did not go unnoticed.
