Killer Dog Squads
If you thought kamikazes were the limit of craziness when it came to suicide soldiers in World War Two, then you were wrong. The Soviets attempted to train dogs to carry out suicide missions of their own. Their big plan came to an explosive end when the dogs were disorientated by the noises around them in battle and came running back to their handlers. Yep, they had a quick change of heart.
The Train Gun
This humongous railway cannon was the rebirth of the German First World War gun that attacked Paris. With a firing range of up to 30 miles, this invention could have heavily damaged the attack on Britain had Hitler acted faster. The limitations of mobility due its size, despite being able to be broken down into 5 parts, prevented this huge terror from being a real player in the war for the Germans.
