Pete Sampras
When Pete Sampras retired from tennis in 2002, he was considered to be the best player of all-time. I mean just look at all he’s achieved in his 14 years – he earned over 43 million dollars earned, won 64 career titles, won 14 Grand Slam Singles Titles: 2 Australian, 7 Wimbledon, 5 US Open and was inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame in 2007. This spectacular athlete was the world number one for 6 consecutive years!
Bill Tilden
Nicknamed Big Bigl, Tilden is often considered one of the greatest tennis players of all time. He was the World No. 1 player for six years from 1920 to 1925. He also won 15 Major singles titles including ten Grand Slam events, one World Hard Court Championships and four Pro Slam tournaments. He was also the first American to win Wimbledon in 1920 and won a record seven US Championships titles.
