Nearly Fatal Crash
Michael Bosch got trapped in his SUV when he flipped in a deep ravine. Luckily, he was able to free Honey, his five-month old dog, hoping she could help. The English Cocker Spaniel surely did not let her owner down. She barked at a man about half a mile away until he followed her to the accident. Even the rescuers on the scene said Michael would not have survived without her help, thus, Honey won the 2006 Dog of the Year.

When Gareth Jones, a former soldier bound to a wheelchair, got stuck in the mud, his service dog knew just how to help. Jones threw his dog a rope. Then, is Golden Retriever, who was four at the time, pulled his wheelchair free. Jones said, “He didn’t let go until I was clear. He knew exactly what he was doing.”
