The Terracotta Army

As mentioned before, ancient Chinese burial rituals were very intricate. A farmer discovered an entire handmade army of soldiers underground. The 1974 discovery would be called the Terracotta Army which paid tribute to Emperor Qin Shi Huang from the year 210 BC. His people believed that he deserved the same status in the afterlife of what he held in his life on earth. It took almost 40 years to construct 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots and 670 horses. Oh, and did I mention that they were life-sized?

The Cochno Stone

Rev James Harvey discovered a stone in 1887 that still has question marks attached to it, not literally. A number of others around the world, that seem to look the same or similar, have been discovered too. Experts say that the stone is around 5,000 years old and is called a petroglyph from the Bronze Age. With the advancement of technology, researchers say that they will be able to find answers to the mysteries that lay behind the 42-foot by 26-foot stone. We can only hope.
