Rae Carruth

Carruth is former a wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers. He was a first-round draft pick in the 1997 NFL Draft, taken by the Carolina Panthers with the 27th overall selection. He went on to sign a four-year, $3.7 million deal that included a $1.3 million signing bonus – that money is gone now. In 2001, he was charged with conspiracy to commit first degree murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and using an instrument to destroy an unborn child. He was sentenced to 18 to 24 years in prison but was found not guilty of first-degree murder, and was spared the death penalty. Currently, he is serving the sentence at Tyrrell Prison Work Farm with a projected release date of October 22, 2018.

Josh Gordon

Currently Gordon is a 25 year wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns. Before his NFL start, he played college ball at Baylor, and was drafted by the Browns in the second round of the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft. Even though he’s been playing professionally since 2012, he’s undergone many suspensions due to his inability to stay clean. Gordon has violated the NFL’s substance-abuse policy many times. In 2016, he came out and said he was going to rehab.
