Constant Threat
The greatest threat to lions everywhere is habitat loss. This issue is closely coupled with human/lion conflict, human population growth, and expansion into wilderness areas. All these components contribute to the depletion of prey species through poaching for meat trade and subsistence. People wonder whether banning trophy hunting or banning the importation of said trophy into certain countries will help the lion population or not. All the same, there’s no doubt that there isn’t an easy or inexpensive solution to this problem.

By taking care of lions in his sanctuary, Kevin is trying to help them as well as help awareness online and all over the world for the problematic treatment of lions in many places.
