A Habit
Motherhood, it seems, is the same for both humans and animals: it is taxing. The lioness has to make sure that her cubs feel loved and secure even though their father is not with them. Although Kevin does everything he can to help, there is a limit to what he can do. So, the fact that there is a mutual understanding between Kevin and the lions, there are still things, like emotions and feelings, that only the lioness feels towards her cubs.

As time passed, the zookeeper and his friend didn’t notice that their nap time together was slowly becoming a habit. Everyone is still amazed at how Kevin could go in and out of the enclosure without being harmed, and now, he can even take naps with these wild creatures without fear. It is indeed a special relationship.
