Joan Van Ark is well recognized for her role as Valene Ewing in the long-running television series Dallas. She remained in the position for thirteen seasons on the Dallas spin-off, Knot’s Landing. Van Ark has appeared in numerous television series, including Love Boat, The Six Million Dollar Guy, Bonanza, and M*A*S*H. She received two Soap Opera Digest Awards for her portrayal as Valene Ewing. Then, in 2013, she returned to Dallas for the remake. She has also served as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race and provided her voice for the animated film adaptation of Archer.

Recent appearances of Joan Van Ark’s face have startled spectators. It is painfully obvious that she has had substantial work done on her once-beautiful face, despite the fact that she is now in her seventies. In an interview with the National Enquirer, Dr. Anthony Youn, a plastic surgeon who has not treated Van Ark, commented on her appearance: “I believe she has had at least one, if not two, facelifts, resulting in a tight neckline and jawline. Her forehead is smooth and wrinkle-free, maybe as a result of a brow lift and Botox.”
