Rowdy Roddy Piper
Born Roderick George Toombs, Rowdy Roddy Piper was a pro wrestler for over thirty years, one of the few who managed to lead a really long professional career. In the wrestling world, he always assumed the “villain” role and the crowd totally loved him. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the WWE in 2005, but just a year later, he announced that he had Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Just like what he did in his career, Rowdy Roddy Piper lead a long battle against his disease, but in 2015, he passed away due to cardiac arrest.
Marc Mero – $3 Million
Marc Mero earned his nickname, Johnny B. Badd, later in his career, competing at the WCW and TNA. When he first started his career in pro wrestling, he just used his real name. Like many other former wrestlers, he also had a few health issues when he went into retirement. His heart became enlarged, and he was strongly advised to undergo heart surgery, but he postponed it and luckily for him, the condition fixed itself. He has become a motivational speaker.
