Developing a location for the festival and hosting all the anticipated attendees was not simple. The venue was relocated to the Woodstock Festival but the original intention was to stage it in Woodstock, the summer art colony. In addition to the massive size of the gathering, locals voiced concerns. The festival relocated to the countryside in Bethel. They did not have adequate time to cater for the 400,000 concertgoers. They projected just 50,000 participants. Governor Rockefeller ordered the guard sent in to better manage the crowd. Sullivan County proclaimed a state of emergency!

Woodstock has little room for bigotry. Everyone of any ethnicity, age, or gender will participate. Parents and children were there as well. See this tiny one. She seems happy to be there! That is cute. Also, there were babies who attended the festival. Well, it was their moms that attended the function. Sadly, several ladies at Woodstock had miscarriages.
