Everywhere you turned, you could see people laughing, dancing, and singing at Woodstock. With music flowing into the bodies and hearts of everyone, people couldn’t help but be content. Max Yasgur, the farmer who lent his land to the festival, said to the crowd on Day three, “You’ve shown everything to the world… the main thing you’ve proved to the world is that half a million children, and I call you children because I have children who are older than you, half a million young people will get together and have three days of fun and music and have nothing but fun and music. ”
