In one of the most dramatic wins of the entire Rio games, Miller DOVE for gold! In a final stumble where she lost her balance, Miller lunged forward and dove across the finish line. She beat out world champion Allyson Felix, from the United States, by inches with a winning time of 49.44 seconds!

Shaunae’s success didn’t end with her iconic and history-making dive at the Rio Games. In fact, in 2017 she broke Allyson Felix’s world record in the 200 meter race with a 27.76 seconds time. Then, she went on to win bronze at the World Championships in 2017. All while being engaged to and marrying her college sweetheart. Life has been treating her well.
