St. Nicholas
St. Nikolaos of Myra, often known as St. Nicholas, was a fourth-century Christian saint. ‘He was a Bishop from Turkey who was well-known for his kindness and generosity.’ He allegedly placed goodies in the shoes of children who had left them outside. This was the start of the Christmas tradition. Despite the fact that the story has evolved greatly over time, he was a real person.
What St. Nicholas Really Looked Like
He was better known as Santa Claus, despite the fact that he didn’t resemble the man that comes to mind when you think of him. Because he was Turkish, he was likely to have a darker complexion and Middle Eastern characteristics. People in the West have a tendency to imagine that historical figures resembled them identically. As you can see, this is completely inaccurate!
