This upset Baker. He was only spending far too much time lining up for the food offered at today’s special prices. If he had known they were not available, he would not have had to stand in line. Her stubborn attitude worsened the situation. He also took a step back from his frustration and began to ask whether there was anything else on the list that was not required.

He was once again met with a disapproving glare from her, as though she was thinking, telepathically, that maybe his question was stupid. In addition to their misleading advertising, her behavior was irresponsible to the extreme. He had a lot to say. However, he could sense her thoughts as if they were his own. “Listen, mister, if you’re not going to order, you need to leave,” she growled.
