A week after Paul McCartney got married, another Beatles member decided to get hitched. Everyone practically expected John Lennon and Yoko Ono to tie the knot, but fans were nonetheless thrilled to hear the news. The couple held a wedding ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam on March 20, 1969. They welcomed a son, Sean, into the family in 1975. Tragically, John was shot dead by Mark David Chapman on December 9, 1980.
