This was part of the email that they made to explain why the loan was necessary: “Her personal assets, which are quite substantial, are located outside the US, some of them in a trust with UBS outside the US.” She told all the parties involved that she had the money to pay it all back. Aside from that, she even made the promise not to embarrass this firm. Well, you would later see that these were all promises she eventually broke.
