Here are two categories for size: Standard heights are over 13 inches and up to 18 inches; miniature heights range from 10 to 13 inches at the shoulder.

This powerful and capable defender has a high level of intelligence but is also fiercely independent, therefore they struggle with submission. They can be found in Bhutan, India, and Nepal’s northern regions. They are referred to as bhote kukur in Nepal. “Outsider to Nepal or Tibet” is what “bhote” signifies. These enormous mountain dogs have robust bone structures and muscular, broad heads. For their height, they feature massive fronts and long borides. Some claim that because of their lengthy coats, they resemble lions.
