The Dachshunds are also known as hot dogs or weiner dogs as they have short legs and long bodies. They were first bred to scent, track, and flush out animals that live in burrows. The smaller dachshund was developed to chase even smaller animals like rabbits. These guys are highly intelligent and are very good hunters, making them the 13th most popular dogs in the U.S. They must be really popular!
