Bloodhound
These dogs definitely don’t come in small sizes. They are approximately 23 to 27 inches tall at the shoulder and can be as heavy as 110 pounds. They are mostly known for their long wrinkled faces, deep-set eyes, and big drooping ears. These guys are also very sociable as they are pack dogs. They like having the company of kids and other dogs. Most of the time, these dogs are easy-going but they could be a troublemaker during walks, sniffing around for a long time.
Canaan Dog
Canaan dogs have lean and tall build, standing at 19 to 24 inches at the shoulder. They typically have bushy tails. They are also very smart, self-assured, and territorial. They are known for being energetic most of the time, making them perfect for those who love running and hiking. They should be taught and trained how to socialize early on as they can dominate passive owners who don’t assert themselves as the leader of the family pack. However, they are highly trainable when positive methods are used.
