Appenzeller Sennenhund
This average-sized breed with a three-colored coat is a very well-balanced dog. The Appenzeller Sennenhunds are very smart that’s why they are fast learners. They are perfect for guarding, watching the farm, or for house dog duties. Since they can work and adjust well in different environments, they can be good for herding, as well as search and rescue operations. This breed has other names like Appenzell Cattle Dog and Appenzeller Mountain Dog.

Australian Kelpie
These dogs are extremely loyal and can be quite devoted to their duty. The Australian Kelpie is a natural at herding sheep whether they are in open areas or in gated yards. They have unlimited energy and are eager to please. These guys are also very smart, having originated from the Collies in Scotland. However, they were bred to survive the extreme and dry heat of Australia.
